Backend Developer (Node.JS)

Backend Developer | Node.JS | EdTech | Manchester | Up to £50k

Langham Recruitment are excited to be working with an innovative and engaging Ed Tech company, known for their expert-backed educational content combined with their immersive experiences and augmented reality.  

They are looking for a Back-End Node.JS Developer who is passionate about merging education and technology to create a modern learning platform with worldwide accessibility. You will be working in a small team to maintain and improve current infrastructure whilst being a major player in the development of exciting future applications.

Responsibilities:

• Build and manage RESTful APIs for client-server communication
• Enhance database architecture for scalability in a CMS
• Test and maintain backend infrastructure, APIs, and database functionality
• Design and develop robust backend foundations for web projects and system improvements
• Optimize database queries for efficient data retrieval with error handling

Requirements:

• Highly proficient in Node.JS
• Experience in managing databases – PostgreSQL and AWS
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in a commercial backend dev environment
• Confident in independent working

Nice to have:

• Any of the following stack: ThreeJS; Go; Git; SourceTree; Typescript; Bitbucket; MBaaS
