Do you want to be part of a charity and business helping people week in – week out?

We need a Food Sourcing Manager and can offer you £35,000 per annum + a 15% performance related bonus. Flexible working or part-time can be considered for the right candidate. Ideally looking for this role to be on site one day a week initially. 

You’ll work closely with our Chief Exec and founder, who will be there to support your journey and offer 1-2-1 personal training and development.

You will be someone who can build relationships. You are going to need to be on the phone, sending messages, building your own brand on social media and meeting with supermarkets, manufacturers, growers, farmers, and distributors to secure a steady and diverse stream of food donations daily.

You'll also play a pivotal part in the overall management and leadership of our organisation, working with the Senior Leadership Team to shape our future.

As a registered charity, Blackpool Food Bank has been on an incredible journey, evolving into a vital distributor of food to 109 organisations across the Fylde Coast.
From schools and family hubs to homelessness services, small and large charities and numerous other groups. We've established a network that provides essential support to those in need.
But we're not stopping there! We're now breaking new ground, offering a mobile food service support like never before. It's a game-changer, ensuring we can help even more people and create even more positive social impact in the community.

Your experience to be successful?

While knowledge of the food distribution industry would be a plus, we believe in the power of the right attitude and skills.

If you're a self-starter, ready to take on challenges with tenacity and passion, have experience of business development and/or account management you might be our ideal candidate.
Bring your creativity and strategic thinking, and together, we'll make a significant impact on the lives of those facing food poverty.
 
 
What you’ll do day to day;

Ensure a steady supply of food for redistribution through our network of partners and channels.
Forge strong relationships with food businesses and donors to increase food donations.
Develop and implement the food acquisition strategy to drive sustainable growth.
Collaborate with the operations team to streamline procurement and logistics.
Expand our industry connections with growers, retailers, and stakeholders.
Create efficient systems and processes to support our growth and impact.

The Interview Process:
 
This will be a 2 stage process. 

The first interview will be a telephone/Teams interview with the CEO and Founder to discuss your experience 

The second interview will be ideally face to face at the Blackpool office to meet further members of the team, and to have a deepr dive into your experience.
You will have a task set in the first interview to complete, a short presentation.
