Lead Game Analyst | up to 90K | Leading Games Studio | Remote
Our client, a leading game development studio, is seeking a Lead Game Analyst to join their Data and Analytics Team . The team is responsible for providing player, product, and business insights on their games, making this role one of the most critical within the studio. As a Lead Game Analyst, you will be responsible for leading a small team of analysts to deliver actionable insights that guide decisions on product and feature roadmaps.
Responsibilities:
- Manage / Lead a team of analysts to deliver insights that drive product and feature roadmap decisions
- Use a combination of data, game design, and research to derive meaningful and actionable insights
- Develop and maintain telemetry events to support current and future content updates
- Produce automated reports and dashboards to share insights across the studio
- Foster relationships with other departments to encourage a data-driven approach to decision-making
- Clearly present findings and recommendations to business stakeholders
- Work closely with data engineering to define data requirements and ensure high-quality outputs
- Conduct analysis with a strong focus on version control, documentation, and reproducibility
- Develop a deep understanding of the games to produce insightful analysis that has a real impact
Requirements:
- Proven experience applying statistical analysis to player behaviour or other user data in a commercial setting
- Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field (e.g. Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Economics) or equivalent experience
- Advanced skills in SQL and a statistical language (e.g. Python or R)
- Strong leadership skills and work ethic
- Familiarity with dashboarding tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Dundas
- Knowledge of modern data architectures such as AWS, Snowflake, or OLAP
- Strong attention to detail, natural curiosity, and creative problem-solving abilities
- Previous experience in the games industry
