Control the Future of Programmable Photonics
This is a rare opportunity to lead development of advanced control algorithms and testing protocols for high-performance photonic circuits. You’ll work at the intersection of hardware, firmware, and optics to ensure system-level stability and performance under real-world conditions.
If you're an expert in photonic system control and signal processing, and you thrive in lab environments, this role puts you at the center of optical innovation.
What You’ll Do
- Design and implement control algorithms for lasers, modulators, multiplexers, and filters.
- Develop and automate test methodologies using Python or similar tools.
- Validate optical systems across temperature, voltage, and environmental variations.
- Work cross-functionally with firmware, optics, and system teams on integrated control solutions.
- Use optical analyzers, power meters, and interferometers to fine-tune performance..
What You Bring
- M.S. with 5+ years or Ph.D. with 2+ years in Optical/Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- Hands-on experience in optical control loops, including PID and advanced feedback systems.
- Strong proficiency in optical hardware, embedded systems, and lab automation.
- Familiarity with optical simulation/modeling tools and system-level photonic analysis.
Why You Should Apply
- $180K–$220K + Equity + Benefits
- Drive core technologies in a well-funded, high-growth photonics company.
- Collaborative team culture, open to creative engineering approaches.
- Opportunities to shape future product directions
