Project Manager | Engineering | £45,000 - £55,000 | Permanent | Hybrid
Langham Recruitment is looking for an experienced Project Manager / Project Engineer to join a successful Fire Protection business.
You will join a small successful team of Project Managers, working closely with various other teams within the business, such as Design team, Sales etc.
As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for the full project life cycle and project manage the safe and effective delivery of assigned installation projects, while also meeting client and business targets in terms of time, cost, and quality.
Role and responsibilities:
- Planning a project schedule for each project in order to obtain senior project manager approval, this includes site surveys, risk assessments etc.
- Ensuring that tasks are delegated effectively
- Working closely with clients, dealing with requests/questions, progress meetings etc.
- Resource allocation – Ensuring materials, labour, tools, amenities are sourced, ordered and dispatched in line with time scales and costings
- Ensuring all project staff are trained and qualified to undertake the project requirements and that they are fully briefed
- Full budget management – Responsible for the financial planning and re-forecasting where necessary
- Ensuring the health, safety and welfare of staff allocated on projects.
About you:
- Experience Project Manager / Project Engineer
- Ideally with a background in Fire Protection or Installations.
- Experienced with Engineering Projects previously
- Experience of ensuring that projects are completed within set timeframes.
- A proven track record in effective resource management
- Excellent communication skills
- Professional manner and experienced and comfortable in dealing with Clients
- General stakeholder management experience
- Good PC Skills including Microsoft packages
- CSCS Card would be ideal, but not a deal breaker
- Similarly, any of the following would be an advantage, CDM, SMSTS, MAPM
- This role requires onsite travel / occasional overnight stays – paid for by the company
