Duties will include:
- Participate in the creation and testing of travelling wave tubes (TWTs) and microwave power modules (MPMs).
- Develop and improve test procedures to guarantee a thorough comprehension of system requirements and operating specifications.
- Build and optimise test setups, plan and organise testing activities, and work with internal and external stakeholders that own testing equipment.
- Execute testing protocols, record outcomes, and produce reports to verify that the system satisfies predetermined standards.
- Assist cross-functional teams in diagnosing and fixing performance problems at the system and component levels, working closely with engineers that specialise in electronics and microwave tubes.
Essential Skills and Experience:
- Solid understanding of microwave principles, equipment, and testing protocols.
- Practical knowledge of operating microwave amplifier systems, especially in the power range of mW to W.
- A track record of creating and carrying out test plans that are in compliance with company standards, customer requirements, and legal obligations.
- Experience in the defence industry, especially in projects involving defence electronics systems.
- A comparable amount of professional experience or a bachelor's degree in a related discipline.
- Eligible for Security Clearance (SC).
