Langham Recruitment are supporting a leading optics and photonics organisation in their search for a Senior Electronics Design Engineer to join their team in Torquay.

Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the entire electronics design process, from initial concept through to manufacturing and testing.
- Lead the development of electronic sub-systems, including requirements analysis and specification creation.
- Design laser drivers, optical detection systems, and digital control electronics.
- Develop and maintain embedded software/firmware for controlling opto-electronic components.
- Perform reliability assessments, parts stress analysis, and manage component obsolescence.
- Contribute to new business opportunities and create tailored solutions for clients.
- Ensure a smooth transition from design to production through gate reviews and handover processes.
- Proven experience in electronics design and development within an industrial setting.
- Strong skills in analogue, digital, and mixed-signal circuit design.
- Proficiency in firmware and software development for ARM-based microcontrollers.
- Skilled in schematic design and PCB layout tools such as Altium.
- Practical experience with prototyping and the use of laboratory test equipment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering.
- Flexible working arrangements: hybrid or fully remote options available.
