We are working with an industry leading software and electronics company that operate in the satellite positioning, wireless communications and software development space, developing geomatic equipment for application across a variety of sectors.
The Role
They are looking to bring in a Senior GNSS Software Engineer to be integrated into a nationwide team whilst joining a new and growing company office. As such there are significant growth opportunities available for individuals that join the team moving forward. You will be joining a core Navigation team and will be responsible for architecture, design, implementation and validation of a state-of-the-art embedded positioning and navigation software.

You will be joining a core Navigation team and will be responsible for architecture, design, implementation and validation of a state-of-the-art embedded positioning and navigation software.
Responsibilities
- Team lead on GNSS firmware and sensor fusion development.
- Lead on the development of a Navigation Engine to compute position, velocity, and orientation of GNSS receivers using satellite ranges and sensors (IMU’s, magnetometers, speed sensors, lasers, cameras and odometers).
- Define and implement architecture efficient running on internal embedded platforms.
- Lead on operational requirements and definition of interfaces for the Navigation Engine.
Essential Skills
- Minimum 5 years’ experience within GNSS & RTK Firmware Development.
- Master’s degree in computer science, electrical engineering or equivalent.
- Strong programming experience with C and C++ and strong understanding of Embedded Software Engineering.
- Strong understanding of GNSS, INS and navigation algorithms.
- Strong experience with full SDLC with related tools (issue tracking, git, Jenkins or GitLab, design documentation, etc.)
