Senior Online Client Engineer | Up to £80k | Multiplayer AAA | Fully Remote
 
Our client is a widely renowned game development support studio working with some of the world's biggest AAA studios to support the production and development of AAA multiplayer game titles. They operate by embedding seamlessly within a client's in-house team; our clients collaborate harmoniously to bring projects to life.
 
Their portfolio boasts groundbreaking games developed in collaboration with major studios worldwide. As a fully remote studio with colleagues across the globe, they value and emphasise clear, continuous, and transparent communication as highly as technical skills.
 
Due to business growth, my client is looking to recruit an Experienced Online Game Developer, with industry experience in C++ and Unreal Engine to join their expanding Engineering team.
 
As an Online Game Developer, you will be instrumental in shaping various aspects of the online services, contributing to the overall vision of projects, and ensuring an exceptional gaming experience for their clients' audiences.
 
Responsibilities:
 

• Support AAA game studios in the delivery of multiplayer features such as online servers, loading and lobby systems, and matchmaking.
• Collaborate with wider design and engineering teams to support and integrate their features into the online systems.
• Devise solutions to integrated online systems, prioritising security and reliability
• Support the end-user requirements of online multiplayer applications supporting all design features
• Develop systems to be accessible and useable from a client-facing application

 
Experience:
 

• Strong command of the English language
• 5+ years of industry experience in Unreal
• 5 years + experience with object-oriented programming languages in C++
• experience working in C#.
• Experience with Playfab or similar services
• Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or similar.
• Understanding of online gaming platforms such as Xbox Live, PSN, Steam, or similar.
