Senior Systems Administrator / Infrastructure Engineer
£75,000 
Mostly Remote - UK based (with occasional travel to Cheltenham a couple of times a year)

We are working with a PLC Backed tech scale up who are looking for a skilled Senior Systems Administrator to join their team. As a Senior Systems Administrator, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining computer systems and servers, with a focus on Microsoft Azure, PostgreSQL, Azure Functions, REST APIs, and SaaS integration tools.
 
Responsibilities include:  

• Manage and maintain the companies Azure based Infrastructure
• Designing and implement azure based solutions such as logic apps, platform as a service features and managed container services
• Designing and implementing security policies,
• Building and maintaining a Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery pipeline
• Build and maintain automation processes using tools like Ansible
• Influencing future systems architecture and technology stack.

A successful candidate will have:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field is ideal
• Azure experience
• At least 4-5 years’ experience within a Sys Admin or Azure Infrastructure Engineer role or similar (Azure DevOps)
• Strong knowledge of operating systems, network protocols, and web technologies.
• Automation tools such as Ansible
• Excellent problem-solving skills, and strong communication and interpersonal skills are also necessary.

 
Ideally you will have experience with/in most of the following:

• PostgreSQL,
• Azure Functions,
• REST APIs,
• Virtualization/container solutions such as VMware, Docker, Kubernetes.
• Cybersecurity best practices
