Software Engineer | PHP & Laravel | Remote | Circa £60k

Role / Responsibilities:

• Own the technical development and management of the platform
• Enhance and manage current tech stack ensuring security and scalability
• Collaborate with the Product Director to align development with product goals
• Troubleshoot issues and implement fixes to improve the user experience
• Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies to future-proof the platform
• Provide recommendations to improve technology as they grow

Experience / Skills:

• Proficient with Laravel and PHP, ideally with PHP cURl calls and HTML
• Database management
• Experience of Backbone.js for managing SPAs
• Familiarity with AWS - deployment, scaling and management
• Ability to work independently, be proactive, and with a problem-solving mindset
• Desirable: Background or understanding in the EdTech/Education sector

Package:

• Salary circa £60k
• 24 days holiday + bank holidays
