A globally recognized leader in silicon photonics is seeking a Staff Electronics IC Design-Verification Engineer for a fully remote role. The client is headquartered in Berlin, Germany, and this position requires the candidate to be located within the European time zone.
You will play a critical role in the design and verification of monolithically integrated circuits for high-speed electro-optic transceivers. This remote position involves deep technical collaboration within a highly skilled, international environment focused on innovation and product excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

• Execute systematic Design Verification for monolithically integrated circuits targeting 200Gb/s and 400Gb/s line rates.
• Perform simulation of analog integrated circuits using advanced technologies and automate regression simulations through scripting.
• Conduct system-level simulations in close collaboration with Photonic Integrated Circuit (PIC) and systems engineering teams.
• Contribute to defining and following rigorous design methodologies and environments.

Essential Candidate Profile:

• M.Sc in Electrical Engineering or equivalent, with 5+ years of direct industry experience in integrated circuit design and verification.
• Expert-level proficiency in design verification and extensive hands-on experience with EDA tools, specifically the Cadence Design Framework.
• In-depth knowledge of chip-level electronic design flows for DFM (Design for Manufacturing), with a strong focus on product quality and reliability.
• Demonstrated experience in system-level simulation and automation/scripting for simulation data post-processing.
• Professional working proficiency in English is mandatory for this international role.
• Must be legally based and eligible to work within Europe.
