Technical Program Manager - Photonics Modules

Technical Program Manager – Photonics | Santa Clara | $180-220K

We’re seeking a Technical Program Manager / Product Lead to take photonics modules from design through qualification and into high-volume production. You’ll drive requirements around firmware, cost, reliability, packaging, manufacturability, and high-speed performance (>50 Gbps) while coordinating across engineering teams, suppliers, and contract manufacturers.

What You’ll Do

• Lead the transition of photonics modules from feasibility to volume manufacturing.
• Define product requirements and ensure integration across firmware, mechanical, thermal, and electrical subsystems.
• Manage supplier/CM engagement, test flows, and manufacturing readiness.
• Oversee schedules, risks, and execution plans; report on product readiness.
• Drive module qualification and validation to industry standards.

What We’re Looking For

• B.S./M.S. in Engineering (EE, ME, Materials, CS, or related).
• 5–10 years’ experience in product engineering or program management in optics, semiconductors, or high-speed hardware.
• Track record bringing hardware to high-volume production, including firmware integration.
• Strong knowledge of reliability, packaging, thermal, and manufacturing.
• Skilled in cross-functional leadership and supplier management.

Nice to Have

• Experience with optical transceivers/modules (QSFP, OSFP, etc.).
• Familiarity with >50 Gbps interfaces.
• DFx, cost modeling, or supplier qualification experience.
• PMP or Agile/Scrum certification.
