Langham Recruitment are delighted to be supporting an award-winning, Ed-Tech business in the appointment of a Technology Lead.
Our client has created Apps that support children to learn, in a fun and engaging way. Their product has seen great success in the UK and they are now expanding internationally. 

In this role you will be responsible for leading technology initiatives and overseeing our clients tech stack, ensuring the successful execution of all software development projects. You will work closely with a cross-functional team, including product management, engineering, and design, to deliver high-quality Ed-Tech solutions that enhance the learning experience.


Key duties:

• Lead a team of developers, providing technical guidance and mentorship.
• Oversee code review, testing processes, and risk analysis to maintain code quality.
• Ensure that development processes are in place and continually improved for efficiency
• Ensure compliance with regional legislation in international markets.
• Advise on and be part of the recruitment team as we continue to grow the Development Team.
• Identify, maintain working relationships, and assign work to external contractors as needed.
• Implement and maintain security frameworks to safeguard user data.
• Implement DevOps practices for streamlined development and deployment.

Skills and experience required:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• Proven experience in a leadership role within software development or technology teams.
• Strong technical expertise in the specified tech stack.
• Experience with database scaling, Unix system administration, and Kubernetes.
• Knowledge of security frameworks and best practices.
• Proficiency in PHP, Node, and JavaScript.
• Experience in leading development teams and code review processes.
• Strong understanding of risk analysis and software development processes.
• Familiarity with international expansion and regional legislation.
• DevOps and systems development experience. 

Salary and Benefits:
Circa £75,000, flex for the right candidate.
Hybrid/remote working, holiday, pension, gym membership etc.
