We’re working with a pioneering motorsport technology provider that's transforming how top-tier race teams unlock vehicle performance. Their advanced simulation tools are used at the highest levels of the sport — including Formula E, IndyCar, WEC, and Formula 1.
 
They’re now looking for a Software Test Engineer / QA Engineer  to join their fully remote team of elite engineers. This is a unique opportunity to play a key role in assuring the quality, reliability, and accuracy of a cutting-edge engineering software platform.
 
The Role
Working closely with software engineers and customers, you will help ensure new features and releases meet the highest standards of performance, reliability, and physical accuracy.
Key responsibilities include:

• Designing, implementing, and maintaining automated test suites and validation frameworks
• Owning integration and system testing activities within the software release process
• Evaluating simulation and vehicle model behaviour against expected real-world performance
• Investigating software issues and working with developers to improve product quality
• Developing test harnesses and verification processes across Windows, Linux, and real-time software environments
• Supporting automated testing of web applications, user interfaces, and APIs
• Contributing to requirements reviews, release validation, and continuous improvement activities
• Becoming a key technical interface between customers, engineers, and product teams

Skills & Experience
Applicants should have at least two years' professional experience in software testing, QA, software development, simulation, vehicle performance engineering, or a related discipline and experience in several of the following areas:

• Python scripting and automation
• Playwright
• Software Testing / QA Engineering
• API Testing and Validation
• Source Control (Git or similar)
• Automated Testing Frameworks
• Integration and System Testing
• Software Release and Validation Processes
• Distributed Software Development Environments
• Technical documentation and reporting

Desirable Experience
Experience in any of the following would be advantageous:

• Vehicle dynamics, motorsport engineering, simulation, or physical modelling
• Validation of engineering or scientific software
• DevOps tooling and CI/CD environments
• MATLAB / Simulink
• TypeScript, Angular, MSTest, or similar testing technologies
• Experience across multiple motorsport categories, including hybrid and electric vehicles

What's on Offer

• salary range £45,000 - £55,000 dependent on experience level (appointment can be made from Engineer up to Lead level)
• Fully remote working and to hours that suit you (you really can work anywhere – some of them team base themselves from ski resorts, others from the beach)
