BI Analyst - 6 month FTC

BI Analyst | 6 Month FTC | Onsite / Hybrid in Birmingham | £60K pro rata

We are looking for an experienced BI Analyst to join a fast-paced engineering firm on a 6 month FTC, working with a range of large and complex data sets.
You will need to be experienced with SQL and PowerBI, and be able to transform data into actionable insights and drive their strategic goals forward

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct analysis using BI tools to identify trends and provide actionable recommendations to support executive decision-making.
• Design, develop, and implement effective data models and visualisations to present complex data clearly.
• Establish and enforce data governance policies and procedures to ensure data integrity and reliability.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand BI requirements and communicate findings effectively.
• Develop and align the BI strategy and roadmap with organizational goals, prioritizing initiatives for maximum impact.
• Guide junior BI analysts, ensuring high-quality deliverables and adherence to best practices.
• Stay updated with the latest BI tools and industry trends, identifying opportunities for process optimization and innovation.

Key Experience Required:

• Experienced BI Analyst / Developer with experience presenting complex data using PowerBI
• SQL Expertise
• Expertise in MS PowerBI, SQL, ETL processes, data warehousing
• Ideally knowledge/ experience with Python or R
• Ability to think strategically and connect data-driven insights to business outcomes.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with proficiency in data storytelling and presenting findings compellingly.

6 month fixed term contract, could extend 
Immediate Start ideally 
5 days onsite when onboarding, moving to 1-2 days per week once settled
