Langham Recruitment are proud to be recruiting for a high-profile life sciences organisation, supporting science and governments globally in tackling a range of diseases including Covid-19 and Malaria.
They are on the lookout for 2 Bioinformaticians with great NextFlow and Jupyter experience to join them on a 3-month contract basis.
The main piece of work will be to help enhance / accelerate their human sequencing data removal service and provide a scientific justification for the technical processes used. As well as improve data analysis pipeline skills and facilitate reproducible analysis using NextFlow and Jupyter Notebooks.

Role:
- Assessing tooling used to separate non human read data from human data
- Using NextFlow and Juypter to analyse the current tools and help automate their genomics pipelines
- Translate findings into an academic paper, reporting on best practices and effectiveness of tooling
- NextFlow pipeline and module creation / adaption
- Python-based Jupyter Notebook knowledge / experience
- Proven track record of publishing papers would be an advantage
- PHD in a relevant Bioinformatics, Computational Biology or similar degree would be beneficial but not a necessity
- £300 - £400 A day Outside IR35 - if you are on a higher rate but have great NextFlow / Jupyter experience then we would still love to hear from you
- 3 Month Contract with a slim possibility that it could extend
- Onsite 2 days a week for the inital few weeks, and flexible to move to remote working after this depending on level of experience
