Junior Mechanical Engineer

Junior Mechanical Engineer | Audio Production | Oxford

Our client, a reputable manufacturer of professional audio equipment for recording and music production, has earned global recognition for their innovation and market-leading products.

They are currently seeking a proactive Junior Mechanical Engineer to join their dynamic R&D team. In this role, you will be involved in the entire product development process, from concept to delivery, working on prototyping, coordinating with teams and subcontractors, and conducting environmental testing.

Responsibilities of the Junior Mechanical Engineer:

• Collaborate in the construction and development of prototypes and sub-assemblies.
• Create Bills of Materials (BOMs) and comprehensive build instructions.
• Manage material selection, sourcing, and procurement.
• Coordinate effectively between internal teams and subcontractors.
• Conduct environmental testing for product validation.

Key Requirements:

• Background in engineering or production, combined with strong hands-on skills.
• Proficiency in mechanical and metal fabrication.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and assemble complex components.
• Computer literacy, including knowledge of Microsoft Office and CAD software.

Desirable Skills:

• Knowledge of 3D printing techniques and applications.
• Proficiency in soldering and looming.
• Basic understanding of electronics, component types, and circuitry functionality.
