Management Accountant

Qualified Management Accountant | £51,000 | Not-For-Profit Organisation| UK - Hybrid

Our client is a non-profit organisation, collaborating to design, fund and scale solutions to complex social problems.

This is an exciting opportunity for a Qualified Management Accountant to join the business as they continue to grow. This role will enable our client to take advantage of new systems, to drive better use of financial & management data to improve efficiency and ability to deliver impact.

Responsibilities:

• Review primary information and support the preparation of the monthly management accounts within ten working days after a month end for review of the Financial Controller,
• Work with Business units finance leads to develop and support appropriate analysis, including to inform our regular re-forecasting exercises,
• Use technical and practical experience to develop and prepare the monthly management pack including variance analysis,
• Support the implementation and ongoing development of management information systems, including associated reporting to drive better decision making,
• Responsible for preparation of the cash flow forecasting as a key management tool.

Experience required:

• A qualified accountant (essential), with some practical experience (1-2 yrs),
• ACCA, ACMA, CIMA
• Strong communicator and interpersonal skills,
• Experience of the production of management information and variance analysis,
• Ability to understand the end user requirements, assess & analyse the details, work with high volumes of data and transactions from different systems,
• Competence in the use of cloud-based accounting packages (e.g., Sage, Access Financials) and using advanced excel spreadsheets and models,
• Ability to work as part of a team and independently.
