Mechanical Design Engineer | Audio Production | Oxford / Hybrid

Our client, a well-established manufacturer of professional audio equipment for recording and music production, is renowned worldwide for their innovative and market-leading products. They are currently seeking a talented Mechanical Design Engineer to join their R&D team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in full-lifecycle projects, contributing to the development of the next generation of their product range.

Responsibilities:

• Utilize SolidWorks for computer-aided design and modeling.
• Create concept designs, parts, and prototypes.
• Design product casings, frames, and user panels for structural integrity.
• Develop molded parts to achieve both cosmetic finishes and mechanical solutions.
• Ensure designs meet environmental and thermal requirements, collaborating with subcontractors to determine optimal manufacturing methods, providing engineering support, and minimizing the CO2 footprint.

Key Requirements:

• Minimum of 2 years of industrial design experience.
• Proficiency in 3D CAD, preferably SolidWorks.
• Strong understanding of modern manufacturing processes and tooling methods.
• Experience in designing with consideration for thermal and environmental factors.

Desirable Skills:

• Risk analysis capabilities.
• Basic knowledge of electrical engineering.
• Familiarity with graphic packages such as Illustrator.
