Mechanical Design Engineer

Our client, a leading automotive supplier specializing in custom equipment, is globally recognized and acclaimed for driving innovation and delivering market-leading products.

We are currently hiring multiple Mechanical Design Engineers to join their dynamic R&D team. The company offers sponsorship and relocation assistance.

Responsibilities of Design Engineer:

• Develop CAD design concepts using 2D drawings, 3D models, and prototypes.
• Produce engineering drawings, specifications, BOM structures, part lists, and costings.
• Ensure compliance with company standards and procedures, conducting necessary verification and documentation.
• Collaborate within the core Engineering team and liaise with the shop floor, commercial, and manufacturing departments.

Key Requirements:

• Minimum 1 year of experience in an automotive or motorsport environment
• Proficient with 3CAD, preferably NX & TeamCenter PLM, with design experience tailored to rotating and reciprocating components
• Knowledge of manufacturing methodologies, specifically within machining and casting
• Experience in a multi-disciplinary environment working across multiple projects
• Ability to read and interpret 2D manufacturing and assembly designs

Nice to have:

• BEng or BSc, ideally in an engineering or aeronautical discipline
• Automotive quality experience, e.g., DFMEA and PPAP
• Demonstration of DFM
