Our client, who are based on the outskirts of Bristol, are a world leading supplier to the automotive sector with a global client base. They are recruiting for a Senior/Lead Mechanical Design Engineer to join their innovative R&D team. The work involved focuses around critical safety systems and the future of transport.
You will be responsible for producing mechanical designs for a range of products and applications in 3D and 2D using SolidWorks.

Key requirements:
- Mechanical Design experience – producing schematics, modelling, and detailing
- Advanced skills in Solidworks, 3D and 2D modelling
- Work in a fast-paced time pressured R&D environment
- Work at short notice on changing design briefs
- Expert level with AutoCAD
- Ability to produce highly complex 3D modelling, including making decisions on component selection, understand scheduling and budgeting
- Able to think on your feet and work with stakeholders to capture requirements and act accordingly
- Able to work autonomously but give regular check-in and feedback on milestones throughout the design phase
Salary and Benefits:
- Salary in the range of £45,000 - £60,000 with competitive benefits package
