Senior Design Engineer | Suffolk | Hybrid | Up to £45k DOE | Permanent
We have a great new position to join our client’s company in Suffolk as a Senior Design Engineer. You will ideally have at least 2-4 years’ experience with Autodesk AutoCAD and experience within the civil engineering industries.
They are looking for an experienced engineer to provide accurate technical, design and general engineering solutions for projects, bids and within R&D.

We have a great new position to join our client’s company in Suffolk as a Senior Design Engineer. You will ideally have at least 2-4 years’ experience with Autodesk AutoCAD and experience within the civil engineering industries.
They are looking for an experienced engineer to provide accurate technical, design and general engineering solutions for projects, bids and within R&D.
Role/Responsibilities:
- To provide good, technically correct, precise calculations for structural and equipment designs
- To translate engineering concept into workable cost effective designs
- To ensure that the correct CAD drawings are provided for projects
- To produce designs to meet deadlines and company best practice
- To provide good commercial consultation with clients and ensure time is logged for budgets and costings
- To proactively develop a good working knowledge of QHSE and how it applies to the company and ensure these standards are adhered to within remit, R&D trials etc
- To mentor the projects/technical draughtsman where required
- To provide engineering calculations and calculation checks on designs for a range of projects and products
- Minimum 2-4 year industry experience (eg. Civil Engineering, Oil and Gas, Renewables)
- Autodesk experience ideal but other software packages considered (eg. SolidWorks)
- Proficient use of Microsoft Office Suite
- Experience with any of the following; Scia, Wave Program, SkyCiv, ExcelCalcs desirable
- Project management experience desirable
- Experience with steelworks, concrete or structural design desirable
- £35k - £45k salary DOE
- Hybrid working
