Senior Director of IT and Cloud Architecture | Online Services | 2 days a week onsite in Cambridge

The Director of IT & Cloud Infrastructure will manage the company's IT functions and cloud architecture, with a focus on delivering business value through effective IT management and strategic planning.

This role will involve leading on the migration of the organization's corporate IT function, IT infrastructure and Global Hosting.

Role:
  • Lead technology initiatives and manage the companies IT Functions across multiple locations
  • Drive value creation from the IT function, focusing on cost optimisation and business requirements
  • Lead cloud architecture migration from local servers, managing remote data centers and DevOps teams
  • Oversee localized hosting solutions globally, ensuring network, server, and storage infrastructure is effective
  • Aligning technology with their business strategy to ensure the delivery of hosting and cloud services that enhance customer experiences and drive operational excellence
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive corporate IT and product hosting strategy aligned with the larger tech strategy
  • Maintain a strong understanding of robust security principles and ensure their application throughout IT operation

Experience Required:
  • Experience in a Senior IT Leadership role with proven experience in delivering IT value to business functions
  • Strong understanding of corporate IT operations, including integration across multiple functions and time zone
  • Managed large scale IT Projects within an online services company
  • Expertise in cloud architecture, hosting solutions, and managing / scaling of colocation data centers on a global scale
  • Must have lead the migration of data centers to a globally accessible cloud environment
  • Comprehensive knowledge of security principles and their implementation within corporate IT and Product hosting infrastructure. (Cloud and Colocation)
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to articulate IT strategies and value proposition
  • Exceptional leadership skills with a focus on team development, customer satisfaction, and coaching mentality
