Senior Ops Engineer

Senior Ops Engineer | UK Game Studio | Cambridge | Remote or Hybrid Options | £70,000 - £80,000 + Bonus

Great Opportunity for a Senior Ops Engineer to join a large UK based Game Studio. 

As a Senior Ops Engineer, you would be spearheading two major projects involving a Data Centre Migration and Security Maturity Programme, as well as lead transformative initiatives in a fast-evolving digital landscape.

Role:

• Manage and support game hosting and development infrastructure.
• Collaborate on Cloud-first infrastructure design and automation.
• Support ongoing Cloud Transition
• Engage with Development teams for feature input and reliability improvements.
• Enhance operational processes, standards, and documentation.
• Mentor junior team members for skill development.
• Champion Agile Principles through leadership and mentorship.
• Handle incidents with a data-driven approach.

Key Requirements:

• Practical DevOps experience including CI/CD Pipelines
• Infrastructure as Code – Terraform is a must have
• Kubernetes experience
• Cloud experience - AWS
• Great understanding of Linux Operating Systems
• Scripting experience, with ideally Python but would consider bash or similar.
• Good security / network background and understanding
• Background working on physical Infrastructure / on prem would be a huge advantage
• Any experience in data centre migration projects would be a big bonus
• A Gamer or someone with an interest in gaming again, would be a big plus
