Senior Mechanical Design Engineer | South Norfolk | Up to £48k
Langham Recruitment are excited to be working with an established design and manufacturing company in South Norfolk, they offer a range of fire safety and protective equipment to commercial clients worldwide.
They are seeking Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to work on these award-winning products providing bespoke services to clients.
Responsibilities:
- Be involved in the full design lifecycle, including the taking of the requirements, designing, material selection, testing / commissioning and the generation of BOM
- Manage design projects and ensure effective project management
- Keep the Product Manager informed of any challenges or issues encountered, and provide progress reports and briefings as required
- Ensure product compliance to technical and product standards
Requirements:
- Experienced in using 3D Solidworks or a similar CAD software
- Previous experience in a similar role and an HND/Degree level in Mechanical Engineering or similar
- Be able to effectively manage and deliver design projects within specified Time, Cost, and Quality constraints
- Use of design software packages for electrical design
Desirable:
- Experience in the fire safety sector or similar
- EMC testing and design
- CE product compliance
Remuneration:
- £37,000 - £48,000 annual salary DOE
- Hybrid / flexible working
