Our client is seeking a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join their growing team based out of Ipswich. In your role, you will take overall accountability for the consulting and mechanical design functions, making sure the customer's expectations are satisfied by maintaining efficient communication with all other business areas.

Key Duties Include
 

• As a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer, you will manage and supervise all mechanical design work for Retail, Commercial, and Industrial customers in order to provide services for all clients.
• For the benefit of all stakeholders, develop the mechanical design team and the function's leadership.
• Keep up a sharp understanding of legal and best practise standards.
• Depending on the needs of the customer, the selection and sizing of equipment and services.
• Use thermal analysis software to determine heat gains and losses.
• Attend meetings both individually and as a team to determine the needs of the clients.
• Attend project/site meetings.
• Conduct site inspections.
• Collaborating with the client and the functional teams to ensure that we meet expectations and aims for Health and Safety, Communication, Legislation, and Delivery.

 
Requirements
 

• Proven Senior Design experience within a relevant field.
• Qualifications connected to the HNC in Building Services and/or appropriate work experience are required.
• Technology savvy, including proficiency in all relevant Microsoft and IT software, AutoCAD, and Hevacomp.
• Outstanding time management abilities, including the capacity to multitask and prioritise tasks.
• The capacity to work independently, prioritise their job, and operate successfully in a team.
