We are working with an industry leading software and electronics company that operate in the satellite positioning, wireless communications and software development space, developing geomatic equipment for application across a variety of sectors.
The Role
They are looking to bring in a Software Engineer to be integrated into a nationwide team whilst joining a new and growing company office. As such there are significant growth opportunities available for individuals that join the team moving forward. You will be joining the core software design team and will be responsible for developing, implementing and maintaining application software for use on field computers, and for embedded devices and systems for GNSS products.

Responsibilities
- Development of data collection software for cross platform application.
- Software performance, speed and user friendliness improvement.
- Work within multidisciplinary team including product managers and wider engineering team.
- Writing User Applications for Windows, Android, iOS, Linux OS and proprietary drivers for custom platforms.
- Debugging and troubleshooting hardware issues.
Essential Skills
- Minimum of BSc in Computer Science or Engineering.
- Strong experience with C, C++17 & Java.
- Further experience with Python, Shell & XML.
- Experience with embedded software would be a bonus.
- Strong knowledge of OS coding techniques, IP protocols, interfaces and hardware subsystems is preferred.
- Some knowledge of GNSS technology would be extremely beneficial.
