Our client is a leading specialist in the manufacturing sector and is currently seeking a Procurement Assistant to join their team during a dynamic growth phase.
What You’ll Do:
- Help raise and process purchase orders for materials.
- Keep stock levels updated and ensure materials are available when needed.
- Chase up deliveries and keep track of lead times.
- Organise and maintain stores/stock areas.
- Work closely with the Production Manager to keep things running smoothly.
- Enter accurate data into our stock control system.
- Communicate with suppliers and build good working relationships.
- Assist with checking and booking in goods as they arrive.
- Keep an eye on stock levels and flag up any shortages.
- Some experience working in a stores, stock control or admin role.
- Good attention to detail and organised approach.
- Comfortable using Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Confident inputting data into systems (training provided).
- A team player who can also work independently.
- Friendly, professional communication skills.
- Willing to learn and get involved in day-to-day stock and materials tasks.
