Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop high-speed analog, mixed-signal, or RF ICs for electro-optical systems.
- Interface electronic circuits with photonic devices including modulators (MRMs, MZMs) and photodetectors (PDs).
- Contribute to high-speed link design, including SERDES and optical interconnect architectures.
- Perform co-simulation of electronic and photonic subsystems to ensure system-level performance.
- Collaborate closely with photonics engineers to optimize electro-optical integration.
- Develop behavioral and circuit-level models for system simulation.
- Use programming tools (e.g., Python or MATLAB) for modelling, analysis, and design automation.
Qualifications
- PhD in Electrical Engineering or related field, or MS with 5+ years of relevant industry experience.
- Strong experience in analog, mixed-signal, or RF IC design.
- Experience in high-speed design (e.g., SERDES, wireline, or RF systems).
- Familiarity with photonic devices such as MRMs, MZMs, and photodetectors.
- Proficiency with Cadence design environments and mixed-signal simulation.
- Understanding of signal integrity, high-speed channels, and system-level link budgets.
- Experience in electro-optics, RF photonics, or optical interconnects is a plus.
- Strong programming skills (Python or MATLAB).
- Ability to work independently and collaborate across multidisciplinary teams.
Compensation & Benefits
- Base salary range: $200,000 – $320,000.
- Eligibility for performance-based bonuses and short- and long-term incentive programs.
