We are working with an industry leading software and electronics company that operate in the satellite positioning, wireless communications and software development space, developing geomatic equipment for application across a variety of sectors.

The Role

They are looking to bring in an Electrical Engineer to be integrated into a nationwide team whilst joining a new and growing company office. As such there are significant growth opportunities available for individuals that join the team moving forward. You will be working within a collaborative internal engineering team with external partners, supporting on electronics design, optimisation, implementation and testing.

Responsibilities

• Drive electrical design reviews and collaborate with the cross-functional teams to accomplish project deliverables.
• Create electrical circuit designs, PCB layout reviews, component selection and electrical BOMs.
• Documentation and validation of electrical designs for functionality, reliability, safety and Manufacturability.
• Drive electrical Design Reviews and resolve technical issues (EOL & EMC).

Essential Skills

• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in Electrical Design preferably with GNSS related products.
• MSc or BSc in Electrical Engineering.
• Experience with OrCAD, Allegro or similar along with a variety of electronic lab equipment (analysers, oscilloscopes etc).
• Experience with electrical systems design with Microprocessors, memory devices, power system, high speed transceivers, cellular modems, Wi-Fi & GNSS devices.
• Interface experience with I2C, I2S, SPI, UART, USB, MIPI, and other high-speed signals.
• Experience with root cause analyses & complex Design debugging.
