Finance Systems Analyst

Finance Systems Analyst | Games Studio | 1-2 days onsite per week in Cambridge | Circa £55,000 + bonus

Are you an experienced finance systems professional looking for an exciting opportunity in the gaming industry? We are currently seeking a talented Finance Systems Analyst to join a renowned gaming client based in Cambridge.
As a Finance Systems Analyst, you will play a vital role in supporting the implementation and maintenance of the company's finance ERP and other core finance systems. This is a hybrid role that offers a unique blend of finance systems administration, with some hands-on involvement in the core finance team at month end.

Responsibilities:

• Take ownership of all finance systems, including the new ERP (Oracle NetSuite), SAP and Sage systems
• Support the implementation of the revenue process in the new ERP, focusing on maximizing automation tools.
• Collaborate closely with stakeholders from finance, IT, and game operations teams to build and maintain effective lines of communication.
• Liaise with the Operations Finance Manager to ensure accurate setup and configuration of new starters and proper closure of leaver accounts in relevant finance solutions.
• Contribute to revenue and game package discussions, participating in regular calls with the Product team.
• Work closely with the Analytics & Data Science and Payment Platforms teams to ensure a shared understanding of core data flows and their impact on reporting.
• Maintain high standards of work with meticulous attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
• Foster a continuous improvement mindset for all finance processes and systems.
• Support the finance team with ad-hoc analysis as required, including preparation of cost review files at month end
• Support the development and implementation of enhanced statutory and management reporting / analytical review packs

Requirements:

• Proven experience in a Finance Systems Administration position, Systems Accountant / Project Accountant role or similar. Having supported / implemented a financial system / ERP
• Finance background and an understanding of financial reporting, cost accounting and revenue recognition
• Qualified or part-qualified accountant with practical knowledge of core finance processes would be a great bonus.
• Proactive and self-motivated individual with a genuine drive for standardization, simplification, and automation.
• Excellent influencing and communication skills, comfortable engaging with multiple stakeholders.
• Strong analytical and process mapping skills.
