We are working with an industry leading software and electronics company that operate in the satellite positioning, wireless communications and software development space, developing geomatic equipment for application across a variety of sectors.

The Role

They are looking to bring in a Geomatics Support Engineer to be integrated into a nationwide team whilst joining a new and growing company office. As such there are significant growth opportunities available for individuals that join the team moving forward. You will be working within a collaborative internal engineering team with external partners, supporting on optimisation, implementation and testing.

Responsibilities

• Resolving GNSS product issues through applying geomatic and computer science principles.
• Troubleshooting support on GNSS products through research, problem analysis, high level debugging.
• Writing of user guides, manuals and application notes for end users.
• Field testing and data collection for performance analyses on GNSS products.
• Collaboration with Customer Support, Software Development, Product Management teams and customers to resolve technical product issues.
• Occasional visits to customer sites to resolve critical technical issues.

Essential Skills

• BSc or MSc in Geomatics, Geodesy, Survey & Mapping, GIS, GNSS or any other related fields.
• Customer support and product user experience is a must, preferably within GNSS, GIS or Geomatics.
• Strong analytical troubleshooting experience for complex technical issues necessary,
• Comfortable working in a collaborative environment, with the ability to work independently.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills are a must.
