A growing technology company specializing in advanced optical and photonic solutions is seeking a Photonics Test Engineer to support the development and validation of next-generation photonic devices and integrated optical technologies.
Responsibilities
- Perform optical, electrical, and mechanical testing of photonic components and subsystems.
- Operate and maintain laboratory test equipment, including optical and electronic measurement tools.
- Record, analyze, and report test data in accordance with established procedures.
- Support troubleshooting and root-cause investigations of device performance issues.
- Assist engineering teams with prototype evaluation and product validation activities.
- Maintain laboratory equipment, calibration schedules, and cleanroom best practices.
- Associate degree, technical certification, or higher qualification in Photonics, Optics, Electronics, or a related discipline.
- Experience working with optical testing equipment and measurement techniques.
- Familiarity with fiber optics, laser safety practices, and cleanroom environments.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow documented test procedures.
- Basic programming or scripting experience (Python, LabVIEW, or similar) is advantageous.
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
