Senior Electronics Engineer | Kentucky | Up to $150K + Benefits | On-site

We are working with an industry leading software and electronics company that operate in the satellite positioning, wireless communications and software development space, developing geomatic equipment for application across a variety of sectors.

The Role

They are looking to bring in a Senior Electronics Engineer to be integrated into a nationwide team whilst joining a new and growing company office. As such there are significant growth opportunities available for individuals that join the team moving forward. You will be responsible for the overall electronic design, subsystems and modules for the companies GNSS receivers and other product portfolios.

Responsibilities
  • Defining design scope & requirements for companies GNSS Electronics products.
  • Defining GNSS receiver architecture (RF, ADC, CPU, Memory, ASIC).
  • Create schematics and design PCBs including component placement and routing.
  • Perform cost analyses & Design Verification Tests.
  • Manage BOMs, EOLs whilst writing test plans & procedures.
  • Work with external suppliers and Manufacturers.
 
Essential Skills
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience within Electronics (GNSS).
  • BSc or MSc in Electronics Engineering.
  • Strong PCB Design experience with Altium, Cadence, OrCAD or similar.
  • Strong experience with simulation, modelling and signal integrity tools.
  • Experience with GNSS Receivers including signal protocol and power supply design.
  • Design experience of High-speed multi-gigabit digital systems.
  • System Clock Design experience.
  • Experience with microprocessors, memory devices, power system, high speed transceivers, cellular modems, Wi-Fi, GNSS devices and various serial interfaces.
  • Experience with oscilloscopes, signal generators and spectrum analysers.
