Senior Game Designer

Senior Game Designer | Game Studio | Up to £60,000 DOE | Remote (must be UK based)


We are excited to be working with a multi-award-winning UK-based Independent Games Studio, which is on the lookout for a Senior Game Designer to join their team as they continue to scale.

The studio has a strong track record of producing high-quality games across multiple platforms, with a focus on creating innovative and engaging gameplay experiences.

This role will be responsible for leading a small team of designers, working directly with other areas of the business to impact the creative and design process.

The successful candidate will have a strong history in GAME DESIGN with a passion for games and being part of a growing company.


Role / Responsibilities:

• Play a key role in managing the team of designers
• Contribute to the design of creative and fun content for the game
• Maintain a consistent high standard work
• Ability to spot areas of improvement and contribute possible solutions
• Provide quality written documentation for game design, with a good understanding of core loops
• Produce high quality game pitch documentation for a variety of stakeholders
• Mentor junior designers; and assist other designers as required
• Support with the development of prototype games

Experience Required:

• 6+ years commercial experience in games design
• Shipped at least 2 games
• Strong Unity experience is essential
• Experience of managing or leading a small team
• Experience of level design tools
• Experience of Jira is desirable but not essential
